Hi Microsoft Technologies

I'm facing a problem with my PC, I have been trying to update my Microsoft store but it's giving an error code 0x80070422. Same as when I try to open my Windows update, it's the same error code, and then it tells me "Your device is at risk because it’s out of date and missing important security and quality updates. Let’s get you back on track so Windows can run more securely.".

I don't know what to do now, can someone please assist me with this issue please.

Error code 0x80070422 is usually related to Windows Update issues. This error can occur when the Windows Update service is not running on your device, or if it has been disabled by an administrator or Windows tweak software. Here are some steps you can try to fix this issue:

Restart your PC: Restarting your computer can often clear up temporary issues, so it’s a good idea to try this first before moving on to further troubleshooting.

    Fix the Windows Update Service:

Open the Services manager by typing services into the Start menu.

Find the Windows Update service and double-click it to open its Properties window.

If the Startup type is set to Disabled, change it to Automatic.

If the Service status is Stopped, click Start.

After making these changes, try running Windows Update again.

If these steps do not work, you may want to try disabling IPv6 in Network Center or disabling the Network List Service.

If you run into this error when launching the Xbox app on Windows, this series of actions fixed the problem for me.

    Uninstall the Xbox app.

Terminate the Game Bar app in the app settings.

    Reset app in app settings.

    Repair app in app settings.

    Re-install Xbox app.

Those steps clear up the problem for me.
