Hi, I am a year-1 computer science student from National University of Singapore and have registered for Microsoft Developers AI Learning Hackathon. However, I am unable to complete Phase 1: Request access to Azure OpenAI Service, as the application formrequires information about my company, which is not applicable to me. Do I input my university for this? Additionally, I could not find my Azure Subscription ID following this guide, so I suspect my university doesn't have a Azure Subscription ID...How could I request access to Azure OpenAI Service then? Would greatly appreciate any help, thank you so much!

    Hi Chen Le,

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Microsoft Q&A forum.

As of now, Azure OpenAI service isn't available for creation across all subscriptions. To gain access, users must meet the criteria outlined in a specific form. Approval for access will be granted after a thorough review of the information provided in the form.

If your request for access to the Azure OpenAI service doesn't meet the Acceptance Criteria, you can still utilize the OpenAI public API instead.

Azure for Students and free trial subscriptions no longer grant access to Azure OpenAI usage.

Also, your subscription should use be a pay as you go account to ensure Azure OpenAI deployments are successful once your request is approved.

I hope this information is helpful. If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.
